  • Function:  Has kinin-like biological properties. Causes contraction of isolated guinea pig ileum and relaxation of rat duodenum. Has a number of hypotensive properties: decreases arterial blood pressure and increases capillary permeability. Induces edema when injected into hindpaw of rat. May target bradykinin receptors (BDKRB). Does not lyse unfibrinolysed blood.
